Painswick Rococo Garden director Paul Moir has tasked Chris Beardshaw's latest scholar with creating a planting design for the "wilderness" area of the garden.
Paul Hervey-Brookes' design for the former shrubbery area will be handed to landscape consultants EDA Environmental Design Associates, who are working with the garden on its restoration.
The design is part of a wider landscape restoration that Painswick Rococo Garden hopes to begin in October 2010.
The landscape restoration will cost £100,000 and will follow work that is now being carried out to repair the garden's Red House, with the help of a £50,000 grant from English Heritage.
Painswick Rococo Garden trustees are meeting on Thursday (15 October) to discuss fundraising ideas, said Paul Moir.
