Held at the London Marriott Grosvenor Square on Thursday evening, award-winning businesses stretching across all sectors of the commercial horticulture industry from ornamental production, garden retail and arboriculture to contracting, fresh produce and professional product supply, joined together for a celebration of outstanding business achievement.

Big winners on the night included fast-growing Bridge Farm Nurseries which scored a hat-trick taking home the awards for High Growth Business of the Year, Protected Ornamentals Grower of the Year - and Most Admired Business Leader for the grower's managing director David Ball.

Winners of the New Generation Awards were also presented with their awards at the event.

Opening the Business Awards Horticulture Week editor Kate Lowe hailed a "shared vision for growth" that was evident in the investments being made in new facilities and expansion by so many shortlisted entrants. "This is exactly why we launched the Horticulture Week Business Awards - to celebrate and highlight that work - that shared vision for growth in the UK horticulture industry".

Hosted by comedian Jimmy McGhie, the Business Awards were judged by John Hall, Carol Paris, John Adlam, John Ashley, Andrew Wilson, Doug Stewart, Jack Ward, Neville Stein and Matthew Appleby.

The Horticulture Week Business Awards 2019 are generously supported by industry sponsors Modiform, ICL, UPL, Cocogreen, Green-tech, Sinclair, HTA, Bathgate, Desch Plantpak and Wonderwall.

Industry charity Perennial was charity partner for the event
