Efig’s Office Plant of the Year is Echeveria beating Devil’s Ivy and Anthurium to the winning spot and will take pride of place for the next year.

The UK judges who met to discuss the merits of the top three plants, all agreed that Echeveria met the criteria:

  • Ease of care in a commercial environment
  • Best for relieving stress
  • Best for cleaning the air

Efig chairman Ian Drummond said: "This is a great plant to kick off National Plants at Work Week as it is very trendy at this moment. National Plants at Work Week will feature a number of initiatives to raise awareness of the necessity for plants in the workplace.

"There will be a number of pop-up green offices springing up around the country to help put this point across and the Echeveria will be perfect for these desks."

Previous year’s winners of Office Plant of the Year are Beaucarnia Bonsai, Phalaenopsis orchid, Vanda orchid and the Peace Lily.
