West End Nurseries owner Peter Van Delft said he would raise production by 10%. Seiont Nurseries manager Neil Alcock said he would also up production by 10% for 2010. He said the move was partly to accommodate Four Oaks award-winning plant Cordyline 'Pink Passion', about 80,000 of which are to be grown at the North Wales nursery.
The nurseries said they were raising production in part to meet demand in Europe, where a strong euro made export more attractive.
