New tree surgeon centre opens

A new one stop shop has opened for tree specialists to "hang out" and buy a range of equipment.

Brothers Mike and Max Storey have launched TreeKit at Bournemouth International Airport where products can be tried and tested by arborists within a "pleasant coffee lounge environment".

Demonstration days from manufacturers and industry specialists are planned.
Mike Storey will sell a selection of equipment he designed while working as an arborist for the City of Munich over the last 12 years, the Silverbull-branded bags and products designed using truck tarpaulin.
Alongside Silverbull, other products, ranging from safety equipment to clothing are for sale from manufacturers including DMM, Silky and Petzl.
"It’s taken a lot of planning to create what should become a key destination for tree specialists in the South," said Max Storey, who arranged the start-up funding through the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme.

"Even our location close to Eco Sustainable Solutions where many tree specialists in the region take their wood waste to be recycled is no accident.  We hope to see many of them drop in."
