The National Botanic Garden of Wales in Carmarthenshire is looking for a landscape architect and a conservation architect as part of a consultant design team.
The garden has HLF and other funding to undertake the first (development) stage of a project to restore a Regency water-park within the parkland of the Middleton estate.
Much of the parkland is a National Nature Reserve and so the garden is seeking pre-qualification submissions from multi-disciplinary design teams, which are engineer or architect led, to undertake surveys, investigations and design development for the restoration of an early 19th century water-park landscape.
The consultancy contract will initially be for the design development through RIBA Stages 2 and 3. Subject to a successful Round 2 application to the HLF for further funding, the consultancy contract may be extended through the project delivery.
