National Trust gift shops have new canvas bags (£45), fold-away jackets (£20), hiking poles (from £12) and sticks (from £15), maps, guidebooks and walking boots produced in partnership with Hi Tec (£90).

Dog-walking accessories include rugs (£14), towels (£7.50) and collapsible water bowls (£5.50). For birdwatchers, there is a range of binoculars and bird books, and there is also a range of accessories for biking. Outdoor game sets include boules (£20) and croquet (£32).
