A tomato grower in the Vale of Evesham is installing a new high-tech greenhouse featuring around 4,000 LED interlighting modules, enabling it to grow year-round.

R & L Holt will create the new glasshouse at its Sandylands site, which already has four glasshouses. Dutch glasshouse specialist installer Certhon will build the structure and also install all the equipment.

The lighting system consists of HPS (high-pressure sodium) lighting to provide heat as well as top light, and Philips GreenPower LED interlighting between the tomato rows.
