Need for innovation drives expansion of range

Earley Ornamentals has added to the Earley pansy and viola range, which now features some 169 different colours and mixes.

True Blue and Gold with Blotch have been introduced to Pansy Premier. This variety now offers 16 colours and mixes. Also new is the large flower Viola Grandissimo, which is available in eight novelty colours and is designed for high-density pot and pack work for planting in patio containers.

The recently expanded Pansy Power now includes eight new colours. The Power series, with its extra-large flowers, contains a selection of clear faces as well as blotched and bicolours. Being heat-tolerant and non-stretching, it is good for pot production in August.

"The new additions have been developed to meet the ongoing customer requirement for innovation," said Earley Ornamentals managing director Simon Earley.

He added: "Each of the varieties has been developed and tested on site and we believe that each one will be a great addition to our customers ranges because it remains important to us here at Earley that all of our high-quality young plants are bred to meet the needs of today's professional growers."
