Natural timber play kit supplier buys steel play kit manufacturer

Jupiter Play and Leisure has bought play equipment manufacturer Park Leisure in a ‘six figure’ deal.

Park Leisure is an outdoor steel play equipment manufacturer based in Kent which has 30 years of experience in the play industry.

The addition of the range of steel equipment to the natural timber product that Jupiter Play and Leisure supply will mean a more comprehensive product portfolio for Jupiter.

Jupiter managing director Paul Hoenigmann said: "We are excited to announce the acquisition of Park Leisure to the Jupiter Play and Leisure Group. Park Leisure customers will continue to receive the excellent customer service they have come to expect and the current staff employed at Park Leisure will deliver this.

"Park Leisure will continue to manufacture the industry leading products they are renowned for but there will be a focus on new, exciting and design-led products for our partner companies, such as Inclusive Play.

"Park Leisure has also been successful in the Urban Sports area with a skate range and a Parkour offering, areas that Jupiter are currently developing.

He added: "The companies combined capabilities will support greater productivity and result in an increased share of the UK market. 2014 will be an exciting year for all those who are involved in the business."
