National Plant Show gains exposure at IPM Essen

The HTA is planning to promote the National Plant Show to overseas visitors at IPM Essen this week.

A dedicated HTA National Plant Show stand forms part of the UK Pavilion at the exhibition held in Germany.

The aim is to attract visitors from Europe and farther afield to attend the National Plant Show on 29-30 June at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire.

According to its organisers, more than 90 per cent of the show space has been taken, with 78 UK firms represented.

The latest sign ups include West Kington Nurseries, Green Line Plants, Ball Colegrave, Coblands Nurseries and David G Ross.

HTA director of business development Tim Briercliffe said: "With such strong interest from plant suppliers and growers, the National Plant Show really will provide a cost-effective opportunity for plant buyers to evaluate suppliers, plan future ranges, source products and spot future trends."

He added: "Our presence at IPM Essen 2010 will help us to convey that message to an international market. It will be the one place for overseas buyers to view the best of British plants all under one roof."

There will also be an HTA National Plant Show stand at GAN on 10 February.

Generations of ordinary British people have been let down by weak, visionless leaders -- politicians more engaged by the next election than our national best interest.
