Mr Fothergill's launches growing website

Following the successful introduction of its Get Growing range of seeds and kits aimed at new vegetable growers last season, Mr Fothergill's has launched a new website - getgrowing.co.uk - to offer them useful information for food growing.

It includes tips on seed sowing, a glossary of gardening terms and how to deal with potential problems in the vegetable garden.

Product manager Daviud Turner said: "We know there is a great thirst for knowledge among those new to growing vegetables and we are trying to demystify the process.

"But unlike some seed ranges targeting newcomers, but which are really standard offers presented differently, this is a real try to simplify choice for those overwhelmed by a large spread of vegetable seed packets."

The layout of the seed rack echoes the way in which vegetables are displayed in supermarkets.
