The opening weekend last month followed several months of construction by builder Geo Hodges and an extensive landscaping scheme by Millbrook’s own landscaping division.
Hodges joint MD Graeme Jones said: "We faced some interesting challenges on the project due to the site being of special archaeological interest and rainwater harvesting requirements, but managed to find good engineering solutions to keep client and planning content."
Millbrook MD Tammy Woodhouse said snow held the build back by six weeks but more than 6,000 people visited on the opening weekend.
She added: "We’re really pleased with the customer feedback. We wanted to make the plantarea look more like a garden. We’re well up on out targets."
Malcolm Scott Consultants were the planners for the project.
