Lechuza has made its Chelsea Flower Show debut after Inchbald School of Design student Eileen Wood won a competition, and the approval of show judges, by scooping three gold stars in the Tradestand Awards.
The company has also recently been awarded a Red Dot Design Award for its LECHUZA-PURO Colour pot. The ball-shaped planter is the newest addition to the range, unveiled at RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Wood beat 21 other entries with her magical Alice in Wonderland theme after Lechuza partnered with Inchbald School of Design, to offer students an opportunity to design a trade stand at the show.
Wood said: "I wanted to create a design that was unique yet versatile, but also attractive. I was thrilled to be announced the winner of the competition and I am very happy to be given this great opportunity. My Alice in Wonderland design seeks to capture the essence of Lechuza through a play on quintessentially British country walks, afternoon tea and daydreams. "
Palmstead supplied the plants and London-based Wilson Lloyd Landscaping was landscaper.
