Lean bootcamp could help firms save £50,000

A Lean Bootcamp for business leaders and management in the garden sector promises to help them save money.

Businesses may be able to claim £1,000 to work with Train to Gain in Dorset, Devon, Somerset and Cornwall. The five-day event shows attendees how to apply lessons learnt in manufacturing to their own businesses so they can double productivity and halve lead-times. Firms implementing Lean have so far saved on average £50,000.

If an organisation books in at least two people and qualifies for the Leadership and Management grant they will also receive a half-day Improvement Strategy Review from HTA Lean consultant Neil Fedden.

The HTA-run course will run on 25/26 November and 9/10/11 December at Foxmoor Nurseries.
