Lantra reveals its Women & Work award winners

Bordon Hill Nurseries human resources officer Michelle Dale has won the first Lantra Women & Work Horticulture Learner of the Year Award.

Dale, 36, joined the Stratford-upon-Avon nursery seven-years-ago as an administrative assistant. She was one of seven women recognised at the event, which awarded all sectors of the environmental and land-based industries.

The Outstanding Women & Work Learner of the Year Award was picked up by arborist Tracey Guiller.

Organised by Lantra Sector Skills Council, the Women & Work Awards ceremony was held at Nailcote Hall in Warwickshire earlier this month.

The event celebrated the end of the third phase of Lantra's Women and Work scheme. Phase four of the programme will be available from April. Awards were presented by the Labour peer and Women & Work champion Baroness Prosser.
