The landscape supplier has also promoted three people in the business, as it aims to reach its target of a £20 million turnover by 2020.

The company has expanded in all departments with a particular focus on sales and distribution. Tim Howcroft has joined on a secondment as warehouse systems manager. Howcroft will be responsible for establishing a new, more advanced warehousing operation in time for the construction of Green-tech’s new warehouse.

The new hires include staff for the warehouse team and the sales team. The company said they were "vital to the success" of achieving its sales target.

Chairman Richard Kay said taking the business to £20 million turnover "won’t happen by chance, so we need to prepare for it. Ramping up our staffing and creating essential new posts will enable us to achieve our goals."

Support teams are also growing. New hires include staff members for the marketing team in administration support positions, and new hires in accounts and IT
