Landscape advice offered on website

Master gardener and HW columnist Alan Sargent has launched a website featuring a mix of advisory features and practical hints and tips for garden landscapers called allandscapers.org.

Based on the style and format of his Survivor books, he said the site will "attempt to address those subjects that regularly crop up in the life of contractors, hopefully providing solutions".

He added: "Recognising the different skills levels, length of time in business and regional variations in potential sources of work, but also in practical issues such as climate, I have worked in most areas of Britain and a fair bit of Europe, and will always endeavour to think carefully before replying to questions."
