TV's Kirstie Allsopp is helping B&Q run Christmas classes for children, inspired by B&Q's 'You can Do It' DIY classes.

Allsopp's money-saving tips include decorating Christmas trees with brown paper, making bird boxes and wooden christmas trees and using pine cones and Christmas tree cuttings to make decorations.

Get You Garden Ready for Winter-Learn about and practice how to prepare and care for your decking and garden furniture is one of the 19 DIY courses available. Classes are being rolled out at 17 more stores this month. Some 13,000 people have taken classes.

Allsopp has also launched a series of videos on Youtube giving cheap decorating tips.
