Planning permission has now been secured for the Chobham Academy development, which will provide spaces for 1,800 children.

The design includes civic space, mature trees and facilities for the wider community.

Chobham Academy has been designed by architecture practice Allford Hall Monaghan Morris and London-based landscape designer Kinnear Landscape Architects.

BAM is the preferred bidder for the construction contract for Chobham Academy. Construction is expected to start this summer and the school will be open in 2013.
