The Institute of Chartered Foresters is running a seminar on tree health with Barcham Trees on 11 June at Stirling Management Centre.
Speakers are Keith Sacre MICFor, sales director at Barcham Trees, and Dr Glynn Percival, plant physiologist and technical support specialist for Bartlett Tree Experts.
They will look at the role of tree health in light of the current debate on biosecurity.
They will focus on:
- tree population management and tree health;
- the importance of genetic diversity;
- street tree health and management;
- the role of the tree nursery in stimulating tree health into the landscape
The seminar will also look at the possible impact of the new British Standard BS8545: Young Trees from Nursery to Independence in the Landscape – currently being drafted ahead of being put out to consultation.
