John Hopkins to deliver 2012 Olympic landscaping update tomorrow

Landscapers will have the opportunity to quiz one of the figures at the helm of the London 2012 Olympic Park tomorrow (10 March).

Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) project sponsor for parklands and public realm John Hopkins will reveal latest plans for the Olympic Park during a talk at the Merrist Wood Campus of Guildford College, near Guildford, Surrey.

The Legacy Landscaping talk has been arranged through the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) South Thames region.

Palmstead Nurseries marketing and sales manager Nick Coslett has been involved in organising tomorrow evening's event.

"There will be some questions coming from landscapers about work," said Nick Coslett.

A spokesman from the ODA said there would be a chance to discuss procurement.

"It will be an update on the delivery of the plans for the Olympic Park, including procurement," he said.

The open meeting in the Merrist Wood Lecture Theatre begins at 6pm with dinner and continues at 7.30pm with John Hopkins' presentation and an Olympics forum.
