John Deere signs 5-year preferred supplier deal with UK's biggest racecourse operator Arena Leisure

Arena Leisure, the biggest racecourse operator in the UK, has agreed a 5-year preferred supplier partnership with John Deere.

The agreement covers the supply and after-sales support of John Deere equipment for use by grounds staff on the racecourses, as well as two 18-hole golf courses and 2 hotel complexes.

Arena hosts 25% of all British racing fixtures at 7 racecourses across the country.

The courses include Doncaster, Folkestone, Royal Windsor, Worcester and the 3 all-weather courses at Lingfield Park, Southwell, Wolverhampton.

A total area of 514ha is covered by the deal.

Arena Leisure group procurement and special projects manager Geoff Adcock said: With such a busy calendar including 80 days of racing at Southwell and from 90 to 100 days at Wolverhampton, the grounds staff work hard to present all the courses at their best to a worldwide audience. That’s why we need reliable equipment and support.

The deal was agreed through tender and local dealers and service back up proved crucial in Arena’s decision.
