Job Done - Training pitch refurbishment for Bolton Wanderers FC

Project: Refurbishment of artificial sports pitch
Client: Bolton Wanderers FC
Contractor: Technical Surfaces

Leicester-based sports grounds specialist Technical Surfaces recently completed a refurbishment of the 3rd Generation artificial sports pitch at the Bolton Wanderers FC Eddie Davies Football Academy.

The company was ordered to complete decompaction and topping up of the pitch's rubber infill to supplement the club's in-house maintenance efforts. Bolton Wanderers FC grounds manager Richard Norton said: "We have continued to work in consultation with Technical Surfaces since the pitch was first installed in 2007.

"We were keen to get Technical Surfaces involved from day one to ensure that the correct maintenance programme was being carried out on the new pitch and have been extremely impressed by its overall level of work and service. Technical Surfaces has been here on numerous occasions to carry out specialist maintenance work such as the decompaction and granular top up processes."
