Project: Roof garden returfing
Client: Nomura Japanese Bank
Contractor: ISS Facility Services Landscaping
Watermark Place in the heart of the capital's commercial centre is a skyscraper with views across the City of London and River Thames. But this year's hot summer sun took its toll on the roof garden, leaving the grass parched and yellow.
Grounds maintenance service provider ISS Facility Services Landscaping returfed the 2,200sq m roof garden on the fifth and sixth floors in record time under "exceptionally challenging conditions".
Working only weekends with no allocated parking spaces for its 7.5-ton lorries or external access to the roof tops, the ISS Landscaping team competed the project in two weeks.
South East operations manager Paul Conley said: "This was quite a challenge. The team all worked very hard to complete it on time and without disruption."
