It is billed as an aid to the easiest, smallest and fastest system ever for decay detection/evaluation. The firm will also display the latest personal protective equipment along with the Japanese ARS pruning range of saws, loppers and secateurs.
Designed for heavy and prolonged work, the new 63cc MT6500 chainsaw from Emak UK weighs 6.3kg and is equipped with an anti-vibration system comprising two spring dampers and four rubber stops. A multifunction lever provides convenience when starting. There is also a decompressor and a side chain tensioner.
Aluminium casing provides resistance to stresses while ensuring steady efficiency. There is a generously proportioned filtration surface to optimise engine protection and special cylinders and pistons with two rings have been designed to withstand intensive and prolonged use. The MT6500 also incorporates a clutch with drum and brake belt built into the crankcase.
Access Platform Sales will be representing many leading names - Genie, Hinowa, Niftylift and Snorkel among them. On its stand, you can also find out about International Powered Access Federation training courses, which can be held on site or at the firm's purpose-built training centres.
There will be more access solutions, particularly for work on high hedges, displayed on the Henchman stand. New for 2012 is the Platform Tripod Ladder, featuring three adjustable legs. Recent additions to Henchman's portfolio include compost tumblers, water barrows, shredder chippers, log splitters and the Easy Lift Harness.
Chippers, shredders and stump grinders feature on several stands, but three new machines worth inspecting are the Rayco stump grinders displayed by Westcon Equipment. The grinders are 34.5in wide to ensure access to difficult sites and feature quick-stop cutter wheels for safety.
If you missed it last year, there's another chance to see the stump grinder from BLEC Global. This PTO-driven unit requires a 20-45hp tractor. The machine has hydraulic lift and a wide swing to cope with large stumps.
