A busy programme of seminars, workshops and demonstrations complement the vast array equipment, technologies and tools displayed throughout the showground at this year's IoG Saltex exhibition.

Pesticide ban threatens
Pesticide use in amenity areas in the UK is again under threat. Last year the industry exerted influence on MEPs to block the European Environment Committee’s proposal to severely restrict or ban the use of pesticides in public places. One year on and the issue is back on the European agenda.

Countdown to National Highways Sector Scheme
A new National Highways Sector Scheme affecting all contractors undertaking landscaping, grounds maintenance, arboricultural and ecological works within Highways Agency contacts will be launched at IoG Saltex by Lord Heseltine.

JSM is launching a series of low-decibel, tractor-mounted, leaf and debris blowers at IoG Saltex.

Pedestrian power
Pedestrian tractors, designed to take on a wide range of specialist tasks, are on show at IoG Saltex.

New Holland performance
New Holland is entering new sectors and new markets as it launches its most comprehensive product range to date and capitalises on the growing popularity of the brand.

Inclusive playground equipment
Wicksteed Playscapes will be presenting new playground equipment, especially designed to allow children to play with a purpose.

Healthy turf
A new systemic fungicide with preventative and curative action against fusarium, plus a new selective herbicide described as efficient and effective, yet safe on young turf, make their debut on Headland Amenity’s stand.

The Hedgemaster range of work platforms will be on show at Saltex this year. The range of platforms allows access to hedges and trees.

Coping with slopes
Greenmech, a UK manufacturer based in Warwickshire, has developed a vehicle which can work on banks of up to 35 degrees.

Responsible oils
Aspen , the European market leaders in Alkylate petroleum for small engined machinery, will be offering a wide range of lubricant and fuel oils.

The Aebi Group, based in Switzerland, is showing a wide range of multipurpose vehicles and systems, designed for all amenity and municipal uses.

Avoncrop Amenity Products is offering two new products to deal with moss.

Extending its chainsaw range, Stihl is unveiling three new models for the autumn.
