Global travel search website Skyscanner has experienced significant growth and took space at Quartermile in Edinburgh for a new headquarters in 2012. GP Plantscape was invited to provide a proposal for a solution for interior planting for the new head office to complement the contemporary interior design scheme. A solution was developed incorporating a range of units with a smooth gloss finish in bright white and light grey to provide striking displays and create natural barriers in the office space. When the first phase was completed, GP Plantscape was asked to replicate the same scheme for the client’s Glasgow office in 2013. While carrying on the same theme with some exact replicas of the units, GP Plantscape was also able to introduce some new units to the scheme in the same colour and finish but in different shapes to allow differentiation. As Skyscanner continues to expand, additional units may be added to both schemes as more office space has been introduced.
"The ethos of the client company is such that the well-being of its staff is paramount. The contractor has installed an interior planting scheme that will do much to enhance the working environment. Plants are used to bring an energising freshness to the office."
