Interior Landscape - Maintenance only

Principal Award Winner: Ambius
Project: Turnbury Resort Hotel, Ayrshire
Client: Turnbury Resort Hotel
Designer: Pauline Freel, Ambius

- The hotel underwent a refurbishment programme in 2009 and all the interior planting units were replaced to reflect the new look. Plants and containers were sourced from Holland to accentuate the ambience within the hotel.

Judges' comments: An excellent plant and container specification, high-quality planting, and the level of knowledge and understanding of the person maintaining this scheme have created an installation that is close to perfection. With no evidence of pests or infection the plants in numerous containers are regularly changed, providing a wonderful environment for the hotel's guests and visitors.

Both plants and planters reflect the exceptionally high standards expected by the client and, ultimately, by their hotel guests.

Award Winner: GP Plantscape
Project: Standard Life House, Edinburgh

Fresh vibrant plants, quality artificial specimens and patterned stone pebbles have created a pleasing display within a tight budget aimed at reducing long-term maintenance costs. Good-quality work station planters carried the theme through the office complex.
