I have a plantation of mature fruit-trees that suffered badly in the July flooding in Gloucestershire. What can I do to help it drain more effectively and move some air back into the soil before the rains start again this winter?

For healthy trees you need healthy roots and healthy soil. Part of that will be the correct balance of air and water.
