Huge fall in value of fresh produce - Winners and losers as prices drop and volumes increase

Nearly £380m has been wiped off the value of fresh produce in the year to mid August due to lower retail prices, Kantar Worldpanel UK consumer insight director Chris Cowan told the British Tomato Growers Association conference last month.
