HTA says August garden centre sales up seven per cent

The latest HTA Market Update reports Garden Retail Monitor data showing that garden centre sales were up six per cent to the end of August compared to 2010.

Sales improved by 7 per cent in August following a decline of 12 per cent in June and increase of two per cent in July.

Garden Centre Association figures showed September was 2.8 per cent down and the year is 0.75 per cent up for the first nine months compared to 2010.
