The HTA has launched a campaign designed to encourage more people into gardening.
HTA chief executive Carol Paris said of the 'It Starts with a Pot' campaign: "Through this campaign we are hoping to encourage more people to enjoy their outdoor space this spring.
"We are trying to demystify gardening and demonstrate how just by planting a few pots, or indeed any other containers, you can provide colour and impact to your outdoor space effectively."
She added: "Garden Industry Marketing Board members are encouraging the wider industry to embrace the campaign by using the logo on marketing materials, with in-store promotions and linking in with events and activities such as Garden Re Leaf Day (14 March), Cultivation Street (launch at the Ideal Home Show 14-30 March) and National Gardening Week (14-20 April)."
The HTA will also be showcasing ‘It Starts with a Pot’ with trade and consumer media at the Garden Press Event on 13 February at The Barbican in London.
