Stein previously worked as a sales manager for Notcutts Nurseries. He started his business consultancy practice in 1995 and is now a leading consultant for garden centres, landscapers, gardem manufacturers and growers worldwide. He also lectures about management at Royal Botanic Gardens Kew.

He completed an MBA in 2000 and has become an assessor on the RHS Master of Horticulture.

He added: "I've just been perusing the library at Kew and came across our very first media plug when we started our own business in 1995. Still going strong after 25 years. A massive thanks to Horticulture Week for their support over the past 25 years.

“Like many in the industry I have witnessed a huge amount of change including consolidation, the growth of online selling and the growing awareness of the environmental challenges the horticultural sector faces.

"At the moment we are currently facing some enormous challenges, but I am looking forward to helping new clients capitalise on the opportunities that the dynamic marketplace presents."
