Horticulture Wales is offering growers of plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees the opportunity to join them on an upcoming study tour that will take in visits to an independent garden centre and one of the UK’s largest wholesale nurseries.
Scheduled for Wednesday 20 November, the trip visits the Old Railwayline Garden Centre in Four Cocks, Powys, and Wyevale Nurseries in Hereford.
The Old Railwayline Nursery owner Mark Cleary is keen to outline to Welsh growers what independent garden centres such as his are looking for in terms of stock, transportation, deliveries, labelling, and packaging.
Wyevale Nurseries' visit would include a tour of its ornamental container production, field tree production, and container tree production facilities, while attendees will also get the chance to quiz senior members of the Wyevale team.
