Horti Fair: Water revitaliser proves a success

One of the more radical exhibits at Horti Fair's Good & Green pavilion was Vitaal Telen (Vitally Grown), a "water-revitalising" process from Dutch-based Acqua Universo.

Company representative Remy Mosch said: "The vitaliser transfers a vibration frequency to the water, which causes the minerals within it to organise themselves."

The company has tested the concept for five years, with some help from the Dutch government. "They were critical at first but having seen the results they are now open to the idea," said Mosch. "And growers love it."

Already 15 ornamentals and edibles growers have tried it. "It improves absorption through the roots, giving flowers that stay in bloom longer and tomatoes that have better taste," Mosch said. "Those aren't our results — [they are] from growers themselves."
