Homebase to headline GIMA event

Homebase garden trading director Matthew Compton will give a presentation about how the Nectar loyalty card has changed the DIY/garden centre chain's approach to customer experience at the next Garden Industry Manufacturers Association AGM and meeting at Dobbies in Milton Keynes on 13 March.

Compton will speak about 'customer obsession' at the meeting, when GIMA director Neil Gow will hand over to Vicky Nuttall after seven years in the role.

GCA chairman Will Armitage will talk about independent garden centres and their changing relationships with customers. There will also be presentations on freight forwarding, exhibitions and intellectual property security.
