The Historic & Botanic Gardens Bursary Scheme to offer leader training

The Historic & Botanic Gardens Bursary Scheme (HBGBS) is running a management and leadership programme this winter.

The courses are designed for gardeners hoping to take on more responsibility. HBGBS, which is backed by English Heritage, Lantra and the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), has developed the accredited management and leadership development programmes for horticulturists through the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) HBGBS, in partnership with the People Development Team.

Last week the HLF, under its existing Training Bursary Programme, gave HBGBS £338,000 to create 34 practical placements.

For details on courses available see www.hbgbs.org.uk.
