Hillier takes over Hurrans Garden Centre in Oxfordshire

Hillier Garden Centres has taken over Hurrans' store in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

Hillier managing director Andy McIndoe said: "It's a good move for us because the centre is between our centres at Newbury and Redditch. We're establishing a new lease with the landlord. We're excited about it. It's a petite centre but we do have smaller sites so it suits us. We will operate it as core gardening."

The five-centre Hurrans went into administration after 100 years in business in late January.

Hillier is believed to be working on a 25-year lease. The company now has 14 garden centres.
