Harrogate gets a long grass maze

A large grass maze has become the latest facility to open at Harrogate's Valley Gardens.

It was created by NCAG of Harrogate on behalf of Harrogate Borough Council and opened on 25 June.

Harrogate open spaces head Patrick Kilburn allowed the grass to grow in the otherwise kempt lawns of the Valley Gardens, and the maze has been cut out through this long grass.

He explained: "The maze has been designed in such a way that it has no dead ends, with all paths interconnecting. The challenge is to find a target disc and then find your way back out, ending at the starting point, which should give those using it hours of fun."
