The nursery also won the Plant of the Year Award for their Anemone ‘Wild Swan’. Co-owner Rosy Hardy is the most decorated female gold medallist at the show.

The display, the nursery’s largest ever, was sponsored by Westland Horticulture, which has been supplying them with compost for a number of years.

Rosy Hardy said: "Westland Horticulture has been the dream sponsor for our largest ever Chelsea Flower Show exhibit and we are extremely grateful to them for producing the amazing West + which has helped us to produce our plants to RHS gold medal standard."

West+ is a mixture of 50 per cent peat and 50 per cent wood fibre.
