Hampson Park reopens after makeover

An upgraded Stevenage park has reopened after a £185,000 overhaul that included natural play elements.

Hampson Park's makeover included plantings and mounds weaving between a climbing stone, 7m-high spiral slide, a space net and a BMX track. Stevenage Borough Council worked in partnership for the upgrade with HAGS Play as part of a programme of play area improvements across the area. Council leader Sharon Taylor said: "The new park will continue to provide a good green space for the whole community."
