Half-million-pound tree works contract in Scotland out to tender

Six councils covering southeast Scotland are seeking bidders for a four-year, £500,000 tree works contract, including trimming, felling, maintenance, assessment, replanting and emergency works.

The Forestry and Arboriculture Services Framework Agreement is being jointly procured by the City of Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian, Fife and the Scottish Borders Councils, while a similar contract covering tree work for West Lothian Council is being tendered as a separate lot.

The framework agreement with be with several operators, numbering up to 12, and will commence on 1 August 2019.

The deadline for receipt of tenders is 24 May 2019.
