Produced in partnership with the Birmingham Institute of Forest Research (BIFoR) and the University of Birmingham's School of Geography, Earth, and Environmental Science, First Steps in Valuing Trees and Green Infrastructure offers an accessible entry point into the subject.

It introduces scenarios where valuation can be used to influence policy, investment, design and management decisions affecting environmental assets, and provides tips and questions to consider when embarking on a valuation project, explaining the applicability, strengths and limitations of each method.

It also presents four case studies where different valuation methods - CAVAT, i-Tree Eco, NCPT and GI-VAL - were successfully applied.

The guide is free to download.
