Roundstone Nurseries managing director Peter Cook will speak on behalf of the supply chain, giving an update on how growers have been responding to the outbreak. He is also likely to suggest alternative plants.
WD Smith director Mike Smith, who helped arrange the talk, said: "The supply chain has got together and made some big decisions about what to do, and nearly everyone is following the course we've decided on."
GCA chairman Peter Burks added: "It is important that we cover these issues because impatiens is such an important plant. They have 44 per cent of the spring bedding market - a huge hole to fill."
