With more than 30 years of experience, residential developer Barratt London has established a reputation for producing quality housing schemes in central London and the surrounding boroughs.

Fulham Riverside in SW6 is an imaginative scheme that utilises land space and location to the maximum. The housing development and the majority of the landscaping works are built over the top of a flagship Sainsbury’s superstore and the gardens are one of the biggest podium garden spaces in London, overlooking the River Thames on the riverfront in Fulham.

There are approximately two acres of tranquil gardens planted with 108 trees, 6,636 ornamental plants, 920 linear metres of box hedging and 1,145sq m of lawn. You can explore the water features, maze, outdoor gym and even enjoy a game of badminton. Elite Landscapes is very proud of the scheme and its part in making this one of the most sought-after developments in central London.

The judges said: "This was a logistically challenging roof garden scheme at third-storey level, overlooked by apartments. All hard and soft materials — including 2,390 tonnes of soil, 108 specimen trees, turf and hard landscaping — had to be lifted onto the roof and the installation phased with the building of the apartments. The result is a crisp and very pleasing scheme, providing a wonderful outlook for the homes."
