Glee 2014 is set to feature more plants in an atrium-style structure in halls 17-20 at Birmingham NEC.
The show’s director Matt Mein said feedback from trade bodies and exhibitors wanted Sunday opening (which will happen this September 15), a bigger emphasis on new products and from 2014 opening in one big space with new products at the heart in the new NEC halls.
Mein said: "We want to build everything out from new products. There's an atrium space in new layout with a great glass structure with with natural light so we plant to bring plants into the atrium, which will create a garden centre feel."
He added: "To refresh is important. The new layout will have more of a landscape layout than a portrait one with facilities at the back of the hall."
He said exhibitors who have exhibited for many years in same place will have questions though there had been "extensive consultation with suppliers, buyers and supporting trade associations".
He added that organisers i2i would present "important strategic development for the long term future of the show" on the afternoon of the GIMA Awards on 18 July.
Mein said he was looking for more feedback on the changes from exhibitors and trade bodies.
