Gardening Express progress report on Ukrainian aid mission

Gardening Express is sending aid to Ukraine after the outbreak of war with Russia, with Thompson & Morgan supporting the online business to get help to refugees.

Gardening Express

Garden Express' Chris Bonnett has updated on the mission: "We are in touch with the Red Cross to go over distribution details - they are extremely happy. 'It's just amazing what you are doing Chris, what you are all doing' bought a tear to my eye last night. We will sort it out with the Cross so everything goes to the people in the most despair. Our transporters are prepared to drive in to Ukraine and make sure the aid goes to people in most need. There were bombings from the air last night, so even aid agencies in Ukraine find themselves in bunkers.

"My friend's Mum in Poland took some clothes to Ukrainians that had been lucky enough to make it across the border yesterday. They asked if she had bread - so it is humanitarian aid that is desperately needed now. Thanks so much for all your support and donations so far.

"Let's keep getting the message out and help our Ukrainian friends in their hour of need. As soon as we need people to help pack any donations above the volunteers we already have, I'll put out another call. Thank you so much for your support - without you, this wouldn't be happening, we would not be able to help so many people, I'm just the conduit here - everyone that takes time to donate and support is a hero in their own way to me. #TrucktoUkraine #CitizenAid"
Donations can be brought to: Bonnetts Garden Village, Mascalls Lane, Brentwood, Essex, CM14 5L
