The BRG will provide materials to participating garden centres as part of the "Love me, love my conifer" campaign, which aims to highlight conifers suited to different garden situations.
They will include copyright-free images capturing different characters matched with their perfect conifer, a display board and leaflets showcasing the characteristics of a collection of widely available British conifers.
Gary Carvosso, managing director at Kent garden centre Coolings, said: "With an average sale price per plant of £14 and an increase in sales this year, more imaginative retailing and colour blocking in volume, we expect to build on these figures."
"Customers are also looking for reliable hardy plants because so many were damaged or killed last winter."
Conifers will be featured as the HTA's plant of the month in October.
