Garden magazine sales see small year on year increase

Garden magazines showed a 0.9 per cent sales increase for the last six months of 2013, compared to the same period in 2012.

Sales were at 750,000, with RHS The Garden members' magazine at 377,205, up 3.2 per cent on last year when it was 365,502.

BBC Gardeners' World was down 3.4 per cent to 195,763, Garden News was up 24 per cent to 33,688, Gardens Illustrated was down 0.9 per cent to 33,547 and Amateur Gardening was down 0.9 per cent to 32,700.

Garden Answers was up 7.1 per cent to 17,807 while The Irish Garden was down 12.5 per cent to 8,378.
